Monday Club is unable to open its doors to members for a little while, but we're keeping the spirit and community of the club alive through our podcast.

This week's episode features Olwen, a Monday Club member who's in isolation in Spain, and Bron, the Monday Club Chair, alongside regulars Anne and Carol.

For some of us, our careers started in a time when you could leave one job in the afternoon and start a new job the following morning. For most of us, the type of work we started out doing changed immeasurably during our career and some of the jobs we used to do no longer exist at all.

 

Do you remember what a Clippie used to do? Did you work as a clerk or a typist, in a role that's now completed by a computer? If so, you'll enjoy listening in to our recollections of a variety of jobs. We hope they will spark some happy memories of your own.
